Smoky Mountains Hiking Trails
Although many come to the mountains to enjoy an
action packed vacation, many too will come to enjoy the solitude
of a peaceful hike amongst towering trees, wildflowers and amazing
wildlife. The Great Smoky Mountains National Park has over 800
miles of trail and more than a half million acres of land. Featured here are
selected hikes ranging in difficulty, length and features from the
easy to the challenging--for the young to the elderly. The Smokies,
of course, are a tremendously varied landscape - a place where you
can walk through a primitive forest, see a pioneer homestead, head
to a spectacular waterfall, or climb to an inspiring vista.
