Mountain Cabin Rentals Frequently Asked Questions
What shall I bring?
All you need to bring is food, charcoal for our
charcoal grills, and your clothes. We provide your linens, towels,
trash bags, paper towels, toilet paper, bath soap, dish soap,
dishwasher soap, laundry soap (for those cabins that have a washer
and dryer) and wood for the wood burning fireplaces. However we do
not supply coffee filters, plastic wraps, aluminum foil, or
condiments.
Do I need to clean my cabin before I
leave? No you need not clean your
cabin. All we ask is that you run dishes in the dishwasher and remove trash
from the cabin.
Do you allow Pets?
Pets are not allowed in a majority of properties. Eviction and a
forfeiture of rent will occur if a pet or evidence of a pet is
found during a stay in any cabin that is not pet friendly. Guests
will also be subject to a $100 fine and may incur additional
charges for damages and cleaning.
What is your cancellation Policy?
Mountain Cabin Rentals has a no-refunds policy. If for any
reason you should need to cancel, your notification must be
received by phone by Mountain Cabin Rentals 48 business hours or
more prior to your arrival date so that the reservation, for that
specific cabin, may be transferred to another date within the year
for an additional $50 fee. Any transfer made within 48 hours of
the arrival date will be charged an additional $100 fee. The
remaining balance will become due on the date of transfer.
Reservations may only be transferred one time. NO CANCELLATIONS OR
REBOOKINGS ON DISCOUNTED RESERVATIONS, TRANSFERRED RESERVATIONS
AND/OR HOLIDAY RESERVATIONS.
What about cancellation due to
circumstances beyond my control?
We cannot refund moneys due to circumstances beyond your or our
control. We therefore suggest that if traveling during months of
possible bad weather you consider purchasing 'Trip Insurance.' To
assist you in this matter, we have located a company that appears
to cover these types of problems at a competitive rate. In order
to cover all conditions, purchase must be made within 7 days of
confirming your reservation. They may be reached at 1-800-211-8952
or visit their web site at http://www.utravelpro.com. We are not
affiliated with this or any other trip insurance company.
Do you require a deposit?
To confirm the reservation if reservation is made 14 days or more in advance, Mountain Cabin Rentals requires a 50% deposit of the total
rent and the $20 processing. The remaining balance will be due 48
business hours prior to your arrival date. If your reservation is
made within 14 days of your arrival, payment in full is required
at the time of reservation. We accept payment in the form of Visa,
MasterCard, Discover and American Express.
Do you have a minimum nights stay?
Mountain Cabin Rentals generally has a two-night minimum. During
the holidays of Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years, Fourth
of July, Easter, Labor Day and Memorial Day, there
is a 3-4 night minimum stay. The entire month of July has a 3
night minimum (except Holidays). The month of October has a
two night minimum on all Weekday stays (Sunday-Thursday only) and
a four night minimum on all stays which include Weekends
(Friday-Saturday).
What if I need to use multiple credit
cards? Mountain Cabin Rentals charges a $20 processing fee for each rental. If you use more than one credit card you will have additional processing fees.
When can I use the fireplace and do you supply wood for fireplaces?
Fireplaces are not in operation and should not be
used by guests from April 1 - October 1.
Gas and wood burning fireplaces will be open from October 1 -
April 1. Mountain Cabin
Rentals does provide wood for wood burning fireplaces during the
fall and winter months. No wood is provided during the spring and
summer months of April thru September. Tampering with gas
fireplace equipment is a fire hazard. Operate gas fireplace with
timers and on/off switches. Do not attempt to remove gas fireplace
screens. Signs of tampering with screens, logs, or any fireplace
equipment will incur a minimum fine of $100.
What do you consider a national
holiday? A national holiday is any date in which banks, post
offices, state and government offices and schools are closed.
These include, but are not limited to: New Year's Day (1/1),
Easter Sunday, Independence
Day (7/4), Thanksgiving,
Christmas Eve (12/24) and Christmas Day (12/25).
Is the drinking water safe? All cabin water is supplied
by wells. Although most people use the drinking water without
problems, we strongly recommend that pregnant women and small
children refrain from doing so. If you are sensitive to minerals
in well water, please exercise caution and consider bringing your
own drinking water. Neither cabin owners nor management are
responsible for any adverse reactions to cabin water.
